Hair Extension Aftercare
Tape Extensions
Do Brush Regularly
We want to keep those hair extensions looking flawless and tangle-free. Here's a handy tip: always start brushing from the bottom and gently work your way up. Opt for a wide-tooth comb or a soft bristle paddle brush for the best results.
Do Use Quality Hair Care Products
Taking care of your extensions is key, and it all starts with choosing the right haircare products.
Trust us, it can make a world of difference in keeping those extensions looking great and feeling smooth.

Do Keep Extensions Dry
Never go to bed with damp hair! Why?
Well, moisture lingering in your locks can create a cozy home for bacteria and mold to party in your wefts and bonds. Not a vibe.

So, if you're a nighttime shower person, make sure to give your hair a thorough blow-dry session on low to medium heat before going to bed. Your hair will thank you for it!
Do Sleep with Care
Braiding your hair before bed is the easiest way to stop extensions from tangling. It will minimise the amount of friction on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair while you sleep, making it smoother and easier to brush in the morning. We also recommend switching to a silk or satin pillowcase.
Do Schedule Regular Maintenance
Don't skip your move up appointments! Not only does this keep them looking the best on you, but also stops any unnecessary damage to your scalp.
Do Protect Extensions from Heat
Your extensions are made from human hair, and just like your hair, heat can cause damage. To prevent this, always make sure you use a heat protectant on your hair and your extensions. Avoid turning your straightener temperature any hotter than 180 degrees.
Do Be Gentle
You wouldn't rip a brush through your hair, so don't rip it through your extensions! By doing so, you can cause breakage to your extensions, and with enough force, the extensions can slip out of place. This is exactly what we don't want.
Don't Wash Too Frequently
Washing your natural hair every day might sound like a good idea, but it can actually do more harm than good. Daily washing strips away those healthy natural oils, leaving your hair feeling dull and dry. Not the vibe we're going for!

The same rule applies to your tape human hair extensions. Washing them too often can wear down the adhesive faster, so it's best to give them a break between washes. Your hair – both natural and extensions – will thank you for it with some extra shine and quality.
Don't Brush Your Hair When Wet
Your hair is at its weakest when it's wet, so we don't want to do any unnecessary damage by putting more tension when it's not needed. Ensure your hair is at least towel dried before brushing.
Avoid Swimming
We already know chlorine is not great for your hair, which is exactly why it's not great for your extensions either. When swimming, avoid getting your hair wet - or if it's necessary, apply a leave in treatment to act as a barrier.
